What is the difference between Yoga Therapy and 'regular' yoga?


While all yoga has the potential to be therapeutic and healing, Yoga Therapy is a specific application of yoga tools - postures/exercises, breathing exercises, meditation techniques, and more - that I use in sessions to offer you exactly what you need physically, mentally, and emotionally at that moment. The essence of Yoga Therapy lies in its individual, client-specific approach towards achieving a more balanced life in all aspects. Through this personalized approach, you will notice changes much sooner, become more aware of what works best for you, and the sessions can be adapted accordingly. The approach and effect are therefore different from what you experience in regular yoga classes, because there you follow what is offered in that particular class at that moment.



Can I also practice Yoga Therapy in a group class?


Absolutely, I regularly conduct group workshops with 10-15 participants. I intentionally keep the groups small so that I can still provide individual attention and accommodate the needs and abilities of all participants. This way, each participant can get the most out of the workshops. In my experience, the combination of individual sessions and group workshops adds an extra dimension to the effectiveness of Yoga Therapy.
